TAMIU Expands Vaccination Delivery on Campus with National Guard

(Laredo, Texas)-Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is expanding its COVID-19 vaccine delivery on campus through a new partnership with the National Guard. The National Guard will assist TAMIU in the delivery of vaccines every Wednesday and Thursday in a walk-up opportunity from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants must be 12 years or older.
Additional vaccination dates delivered by the National Guard are as follows:
Saturday, July 10
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 13
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Friday, July 23
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Friday, July 30
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Friday, August 20
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
The vaccinations are open, no appointment required, and free of charge to members of the TAMIU community and the general public. Available vaccines include Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), Moderna and Pfizer. All are free of charge and open to all.
A previous vaccination schedule delivered by Curative using the Moderna vaccine has been reduced and discontinued. The only remaining vaccination date on campus by Curative is Tuesday June 29 from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. All vaccines are free of charge. Appointments are required and can be made with Curative online. TAMIU’s Fall 2021 plans are focused on a return to a full and vibrant on-campus experience for all students, faculty and staff at its 300-acre northeast Laredo campus. Classes begin Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.
