United South High School Students Command Wins at UIL Acadmics State Competiton

(Laredo, Texas)-The following United High School students placed at the State competition on May 1, 2021 in several events: Edally Rodriguez (7th place, Spelling & Vocabulary, Coach Laurie Rodriguez): Jocelyn Reyes (6th place, Computer Applications, coach Aldo Boyless);Leonardo Garcia (Current Issues & Events, coach Claudia Saenz); Rogelio Carrillo (4th place, Literary Criticism, Coach Jesus Gonzalez); Ashley Garcia (3rd place, News Writing, Coach Linda Lee Ramon);Lucero Ponce (2nd place, Editorial Writing, Coach Linda Lee Ramon). In addition, Ashley Garcia and Lucero Ponce, took 1st place as a Journalism Duo, making history in 2021 for United South High School.
