United ISD Employees Lose Big in the HealthyWage District Weight Loss Challenge

(Laredo, Texas)-Every year, United ISD employees are invited to participate in the HealthyWage weight loss District Challenge. The challenge requires that participants compete in teams of 5 to lose the greatest percentage of weight in 12 weeks to win the grand prize of $10,000, plus $1,500 for the top team from each organization! This year, the nationwide competition drew 68 participants throughout the District, who collectively lost a total of 763 pounds!
United ISD’s winning team, On Our Weigh to 1st Place, ranked number 6 out of 111 teams nation-wde. Additionally, because they were the first place team in the District, they earned a cash prize of $1,500.00.
Team A Ton of Fun and Team Slimpossible ranked 13th and 15th, respectively, nationwide and 2nd and 3rd throughout the District. Congratulations to all teams who participated.
