District 5 Council Member to Host Campout at Jovita Idar Park

Laredo, Texas — The City of Laredo and Council Member for District 5, Ruben Gutierrez, Jr., will host the “Family Night Under the Stars” campout event at Jovita Idar’s El Progreso Park, located at 5911 Thomas Ave. The campout will last from Saturday, May 1 at 6:30 p.m. to Sunday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m.
The event will include family activities, such as night fishing, games, and a movie. Even though hotdogs and breakfast will be provided, it is encouraged for families to bring their own snacks. The community is also advised to bring their own tent and that no alcohol or BBQ pits will be allowed.
