United High School One Act Play Students Advance to UIL Bi-District Competition

(Laredo, Texas)-Recently, students in United High School (UHS), One Act Play program advanced to the UIL Bi-District level competition for their performance of a scene from Wit by Margaret Edson. The play was directed by Daniel Villarreal and the District competition was held in Eagle Pass, Texas. Additionally, awards were given to groups and individuals within the UHS group*. The next step for the talented troupe is to compete in Bi-District level competition at Holmes High School in San Antonio, Texas on March 25, 2021. The UIL One-Act Play Contest is a competition where similarly sized Texas schools present 18-40 minute plays, which may be adjudicated by a panel of three judges or a single judge for further advancement to Bi-District, Region, and State.
