City, County Confirm 5 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have FIVE new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 796th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60’s. He died Sunday, March 07, 2021.

The 797th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60’s. He died Friday, February 12, 2021.

The 798th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

The 799th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-50’s. He died Sunday, February 14, 2021.

The 800th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-70’s. He died Monday, February 08, 2021.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 08, 2021, a total of: 307,239 people have been tested; 42,866 have resulted positive (145 are active); 41,921 persons have estimated recovered; 29 are currently hospitalized (13 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 6.58% and 800 people have died.
