LAREDO, Texas — In 2020, the Laredo Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) moved offices and went through a rebranding process. Moving into 2021, the Laredo CVB is continuing to push forward with new advancements as it’s looking forward to the official launch of The Visit Laredo Gift Shop on March 17, 2021. The Visit Laredo Gift Shop is accessible on visitlaredo.com.
Anyone who has ever been to Laredo knows of the cities welcoming nature and unique, bicultural atmosphere that sets it apart from other Texas towns. With its rich history and culture, it’s no surprise that visitors and locals alike have been hoping for the day a gift shop would open, and the Laredo CVB couldn’t be more pleased to deliver.
“We have worked hard behind the scenes to give you the best shopping experience when looking for your favorite Laredo souvenir, with options for shipping or even curbside pickup and a wide variety of products,” notes Joel Vazquez, Laredo CVB assistant director, who has been charged with overseeing the operations of the Visit Laredo Gift Shop.
With the high interest in the gift shop, the Visit Laredo team has worked to make it inclusive for members of the local community as well as those throughout the country who are now able to ship themselves or their family and friends a piece of Laredo. The gift shop offers shipping to the continental U.S. and curbside pickup for those in town. Visitors will find a variety of goods from classic clothing items and housewares to replicas of some of the iconic buildings in Laredo like the Rio Grande Museum and the Laredo Center for the Arts.
“We are excited to open the online store and make our products available to everyone that seeks a memento from their trip to Laredo, wants to send a gift to friends and family out of town, or those in the community looking for cool swag to show they are Laredo proud,” shares Aileen Ramos, Laredo CVB director.
