City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have TWO new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 716th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his male-50’s. He died Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
The 717th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-60’s. She died Thursday, February 11, 2021.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021, a total of: 292,719 people have been tested; 42,257 have resulted positive (855 are active); 40,685 persons have estimated recovered; 123 are currently hospitalized (56 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 26.99% and 717 people have died.
