City, County Confirm 1 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have ONE new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 688th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-40’s. She died Monday, February 08, 2021.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 09, 2021, a total of: 288,272 people have been tested; 41,703 have resulted positive (734 are active); 40,281 persons have estimated recovered; 152 are currently hospitalized (66 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 34.95% and 688 people have died.
