(Laredo, Texas)-The United Independent School District invites parents and the community to attend a virtual Public Hearing for United ISD’s Annual Report to be held at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. The meeting will present data from the Texas Academic Performance Report, referred to as the TAPR. This information is gathered by the Texas Education Agency and details student performance at the District and in public schools across the State. District administrators will present information on the summative data for United ISD schools at this meeting.
“All parents and community members are invited to join this public hearing via Zoom,” said United ISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos. “Individuals who virtually attend will learn how United ISD strives each day to provide a first-rate academic program to all students,” he continued.
Among the items that will be discussed at the virtual meeting are attendance rates, graduation rates, college readiness indicators such as completion of Advanced/Dual Enrollment Courses, participation and performance on Advanced Placement (AP) examinations, Texas Success Initiative (TSI) – Higher Education Readiness Component, Participation and Performance on the College Admissions Tests (SAT and ACT), College-Ready Graduates, and district financial data among other information.
