Sheriff Cuellar Asking for Community’s Support in Locating Mother of Deceased Baby

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar is requesting assistance from the community regarding a deceased newborn who was found Sunday afternoon on the side of the road in Los Botines subdivision, located in northwest Webb County.
The identity of the newborn is still being investigated and the Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public to come forward with any information regarding the mother’s identity. The birth of the child appears to have been medically unsupervised and there are concerns that the mother’s health may be in jeopardy. Specifically, the Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate any previously pregnant female who is no longer showing signs of pregnancy and is without child.
The identification of the mother is critical in piecing together the events that led up to the newborn’s discovery.
