City, County Confirm Seven New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have SEVEN new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 534th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-60’s. She died Monday, January 04, 2021.

The 535th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-40’s. He died Sunday, January 03, 2021.

The 536th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-70’s. She died Tuesday, January 05, 2021.

The 537th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-70’s. He died Monday, January 04, 2021.

The 538th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-60’s. He died Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

The 539th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60’s. She died Monday, January 11, 2021.

The 540th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50’s. He died Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, a total of : 215,866 people have been tested; 30,592 have resulted positive (1,922 are active); 28,130 persons have estimated recovered; 231 are currently hospitalized (79 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 46.14% and 540 people have died.
