City, County Confirm 8 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have EIGHT new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 610th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60’s. He died Monday, January 25, 2021.

The 611th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-80’s. She died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 612th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60’s. He died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 613th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-50’s. He died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 614th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-40’s. She died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 615th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60’s. She died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 616th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-40’s. He died Tuesday, January 26, 2021.

The 617th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-80’s. She died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, a total of : 263,148 people have been tested; 39,337 have resulted positive (2,275 are active); 36,445 persons have estimated recovered; 239 are currently hospitalized (79 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 44.17% and 617 people have died.
