City, County Confirm 5 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have FIVE new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 624th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-70’s. He died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

The 625th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

The 626th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died Thursday, January 28, 2021.

The 627th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died Thursday, January 28, 2021.

The 628th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-80’s. He died Thursday, January 28, 2021.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021, a total of : 267,918 people have been tested; 39,992 have resulted positive (2,314 are active); 37,050 persons have estimated recovered; 227 are currently hospitalized (74 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 42.83% and 628 people have died.
