Laredo Sector Border Patrol Honors United ISD Youth of the Month Honorees

Laredo, Texas – Laredo Sector Border Patrol continues honoring the youth of Laredo despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The main goal is to highlight the incredible achievements and accomplishments of Laredo high school seniors. A total of 4 honorees, from United ISD were selected for October’s Youth of the Month Award. They were: Ryan Moncivais (United High School), Yvette Zuñiga (United South High School), Lilia Elizondo (Alexander High School), and Joanna Luna (Lyndon B. Johnson High School).
Laredo Sector Chief Patrol Agent Matthew J. Hudak said, “It is my honor to recognize our Student of the Month award recipients for their outstanding accomplishments and their continued focus on their academic success. Despite the numerous challenges that COVID-19 has placed on our educational system, and them as individuals, students like these are showing us their resilience and perseverance in the face of these challenges. I am proud of the example they are setting for their peers and for our community.”
Through the Youth of the Month program the Laredo Sector Border Patrol, in collaboration with community partners, has recognized Laredo’s top high school seniors for over 30 years.
