City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have FIVE new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 497th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-40’s. She died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
The 498th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-80’s. He died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.
The 499th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-100’s. She died on Sunday, December 27, 2020.
The 500th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
The 501st death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-50’s. She died on Monday, December 28, 2020.

As of 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, a total of 178,648 people have been tested, 26,402 have resulted positive (1,062 are active), 24,839 persons have estimated recovered, 179 are currently hospitalized (57 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate 37.63% and 501 have died.
