City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have FIVE new confirmed death in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 427th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-80s. She died on Tuesday, December 08, 2020.

The 428th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-60s. She died on Tuesday, December 08, 2020.

The 429th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-70s. He died on Tuesday, December 08, 2020.

The 430th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60s. She died on Thursday, November 19, 2020.

The 431st death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50s. He died on Saturday, November 07, 2020.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 09, 2020, a total of 142,957 people have been tested, 22,417 have resulted positive (1,656 are active), 20,330 persons have estimated recovered, 136 are currently hospitalized (49 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate 33.3% and 431 have died.
