(Laredo, Texas)-Recently, the Alexander high school orchestra engaged in virtual competition as a
TMEA Region 14 Orchestra. As one of 120 entries, the AHS orchestra outperformed all other high schools with the highest chairs and most representatives. Under normal circumstances these students would have the opportunity to play in a clinic/concert live setting, but will not be able to due to the pandemic. The orchestra was established in 2015, and has grown to become the biggest school with representatives and top chairs in every section, including the top 2 chairs in violin, cello, and string bass.
