City of Laredo Breaks Ground on New Lyon St. North 4MG Ground Storage Tank

LAREDO, Texas— On Friday, October 16, 2020, the City of Laredo and DN Tanks Inc. conducted a groundbreaking ceremony on New Lyon St. Water Storage Tank. The current tank was first built in the late 1970’s and will now undergo a much needed re-construction.
The Lyon Street Booster Pump Station and Ground Storage Tanks are the heart of the city’s water distribution system for Central, South and parts of West Laredo. With this in mind, the Utilities Department decided to make an investment to the City’s water system at this location with a brand new 4 million gallon tank. The demolition of the existent tank will start soon.
