Webb County Sheriff’s Office Operation Leads to Marijuana Seizure

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – An ongoing investigation by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit led to a vehicle that was suspected to deliver narcotics at a parking lot located on the 400 block of Shiloh Drive.
Investigators approached the vehicle and identified the occupants as Jonathan Martinez, 25, Pamela Salinas, 25 and Pedro Gomez, 17. Further investigation led the investigators to an apartment on the 5100 block of San Francisco Avenue where all three subjects resided. At the apartment, investigators discovered multiple bundles of marijuana and evidence confirming the bundles were packaged in a manner to deter detection from K-9s. The total weight of the marijuana was 63 pounds with an estimated street value of $19,000.
All suspects were charged with possession of marijuana felony 2 and engaging in organized criminal activity felony 1. They were transported to the Webb County Jail and are pending magistration.
