Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – An ongoing investigation by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit led to a vehicle that was suspected to deliver narcotics at a parking lot located on the 400 block of Shiloh Drive.

Investigators approached the vehicle and identified the occupants as Jonathan Martinez, 25, Pamela Salinas, 25 and Pedro Gomez, 17. Further investigation led the investigators to an apartment on the 5100 block of San Francisco Avenue where all three subjects resided. At the apartment, investigators discovered multiple bundles of marijuana and evidence confirming the bundles were packaged in a manner to deter detection from K-9s. The total weight of the marijuana was 63 pounds with an estimated street value of $19,000.

All suspects were charged with possession of marijuana felony 2 and engaging in organized criminal activity felony 1. They were transported to the Webb County Jail and are pending magistration.

“I congratulate our Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics division on a job well done. These drugs are known to be part of organized crime and they could’ve ended in our children’s path,” said Sheriff Cuellar. “We will continue to fight crime and keep our community safe. I remind the public to report any suspicious activities by calling 956-415-BUST (2878). You can be eligible for a cash reward,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
