United ISD’s After School Adventures’ First Week of Virtual Camps A Success

(Laredo, Tx-United ISD’s After School Adventures Program is hosting FREE virtual camps for elementary students who attend United ISD elementary schools. The camps will be hosted online through Zoom daily Monday-Friday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. The camps will follow different weekly themes, such as fitness, family, outdoors, dance, and special presentations by Lake Casa Blanca and Imaginarium of South Texas.
This week After School Adventures hosted camps related to basketball, taekwondo, yoga, and soccer. Presenters included All Around Hoops, Kugar Taekwondo, Yoga Instructor Ashely Gastineau, and Laredo Heat. Students logged on daily at 4:00 p.m. to join the Zoom call and practiced the exercises alongside the host of the camp. Parents are encouraged to register as soon as possible for each week, as spaces are limited. During the first week of school, over 100 students registered daily to participate.
