Roadway intersection improvement to close Frontera Road extended to August 14
(McAllen, Tx)-As the City of McAllen continues to move forward with the Bicentennial Boulevard road extension project, construction of the roadway intersection of Frontera Road at Bicentennial Boulevard will continue to remain closed along Frontera Road.
The roadway which has been closed to all through traffic between 23rd Street and Main Street since Thursday, June 18 was extended to reopen on Friday, August 7, 2020. The closure has now been extended to Friday, August 14, 2020. Residents will still be able to access their homes. (see enclosed map)
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes during the road closure and exercise extreme caution and patience when traveling along in the area. Motorists should expect some delays and congestion.
