City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed the 47th, 48th and 49th deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 47th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early 30s with underlying health conditions. The person died at Laredo Medical Center on Monday, July 6, 2020.

The 48th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early 80s with underlying health conditions. The person died at Doctors Hospital of Laredo on Monday, July 13, 2020.

The 49th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early 80s with underlying health conditions. The person died at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

The City of Laredo Health Department continues to conduct contact investigation on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time. If you feel ill, please contact your physician and monitor your symptoms.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020, a total of 12,724 people have been tested, 8,417 people have resulted negative, 3,211 have resulted positive (2,236 are active), 1,096 test results are pending, 926 persons have recovered, 159 are currently hospitalized (57 of which are in the ICU), and 49 have died.

    311 is not even working for crying out loud if you can’t even get that working properly how can you expect to stop this virus brace yourselves for more deaths

    wtf people stay home and wear a mask and avoid contact with anyone including family
