City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed one more death in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the family and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 122nd death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early 60s. She died on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020, a total of 17,614 people have been tested, 10,788 people have resulted negative, 5,878 have resulted positive (4,386 are active), 948 test results are pending, 1,370 persons have recovered, 203 are currently hospitalized (73 of which are in the ICU), eight patients are currently admitted at the alternate care site, and 122 have died.
