City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Death

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed the 66th death in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 66th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-70s with underlying health conditions. The person died at Laredo Medical Center on Monday, July 20, 2020.
The City of Laredo Health Department continues to conduct contact investigation on persons who have tested positive to determine possible exposure to others. If the health department has not contacted you, there is no need to take any action at this time. If you feel ill, please contact your physician and monitor your symptoms.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2020, a total of 14,219 people have been tested, 9,056 people have resulted negative, 4,131 have resulted positive (3,029 are active), 1,032 test results are pending, 1,036 persons have recovered, 168 are currently hospitalized (64 of which are in the ICU), and 66 have died.
