City, County Confirm 5 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed five more deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 123rd death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early 80s. He died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

The 124th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late 20’s. He died on Thursday July 30, 2020.

The 125th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid 80’s. He died on Monday, July 27, 2020.

The 126th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid 60’s. he died on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

The 127th death of Webb County resident was a male in his early 60’s. He died on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020, a total of 18,189 people have been tested, 11,120 people have resulted negative, 6,131 have resulted positive (4,558 are active), 938 test results are pending, 1,446 persons have recovered, 207 are currently hospitalized (74 of which are in the ICU), five patients are currently admitted at the alternate care site, and 127 have died.

In order to safeguard legally-protected information, the City of Laredo is not publically releasing personal or identifiable information regarding any cases as it relates to COVID-19 testing, results or monitoring.
