City, County Confirm 4 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed four more deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 115th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50s. He died on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

The 116th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-90s. She died on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

The 117th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60s. She died on Monday, July 27, 2020.

The 118th COVID-19 death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early 60s. She died on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, a total of 16,614 people have been tested, 10,252 people have resulted negative, 5,396 have resulted positive (4,043 are active), 966 test results are pending, 1,235 persons have recovered, 185 are currently hospitalized (72 of which are in the ICU), and 118 have died.
