LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo Tax Office is issuing the following important reminders:
** Delinquent Taxes for Tax Year 2019 **
June 30th – Last day to pay delinquent taxes for tax year 2019 in order to avoid attorney fees.
This serves as a notification to all taxpayers who owe 2019 delinquent taxes to pay by Tuesday, June 30, 2020 before they are turned over to the delinquent tax attorney for collection. Accounts that remain unpaid will incur an additional 15% attorney fee added to the normal 18% penalty & interest (Total of 33%). These fees will increase each month thereafter.
Half-Payment for 2019 Property Taxes is Due **
June 30th – Second-half payment deadline for qualifying property owners enrolled in Split-Payment Plan.
This serves as a notification to all taxpayers who enrolled in the Split-Payment Plan to pay the remaining half payment of their 2019 taxes by Tuesday, June 30, 2020 before they become delinquent. Accounts that remain unpaid will incur a total of 13% in penalties and interest. These fees will continue to increase each month thereafter.
