Ramiro Veliz, III, United ISD’s Board President, distributes free face masks at Los Obispos MS

(Laredo, Texas) On Thursday morning , Ramiro Veliz, III, United ISD’s Board President, distributed free face masks to parents during the Grab and Go meal distribution site at Los Obispos Middle School.
During the giveaway, Veliz thanked all the parents for their patience and cooperation during this pandemic.
Mr. Veliz also recognized and thanked the cafeteria staff for all their hard work. The Child Nutrition Department distributes between 16 to 18 thousand meals a day.
Participating in passing out face masks were UISD Police Captain Aaron Salazar, Sgt. Sergio Garcia and Police Officer Iram Vicharelli.
Beginning Monday, May 4, 2020, United ISD is adding nine additional Grab and Go Food sites, for a total of 27 free meal sites. The sites will be open Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. For a list of all locations, please visit the district website at www.uisd.net
