City of Laredo Distributes Books on Read Across America Day

LAREDO, Texas— In honor of Read Across America Day, Mayor Pro Tempore Alberto Torres, Jr. visited six Laredo elementary schools on Monday, March 2 to distribute children’s books to eager first graders. In total, over 150 children’s books were distributed across elementary schools in District 4 including Katherine F. Tarver Elementary, Tomas Sanchez/Hermelinda Ochoa Elementary, Don Jose Gallego Elementary, Alma A. Pierce Elementary and Clarence L. Milton Elementary.
