LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo Human Resources Department is launching a brand new initiative this March focused on providing the community with the tools and skills to both apply for a job and prepare for an interview. Through this new initiative, the department will host workshops focused on resume-building, interview tips and job search opportunities. The first workshop will take place at MileOne on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
This is the first time the Human Resources Department hosts a community outreach event and the department is already working on developing additional programs and opportunities to engage residents in the coming months.
During the workshop, Human Resources staff will be on hand to lead the presentations and assist attendees with any questions they may have.
“As our department continues to evolve to better serve the city’s needs, we want to ensure that we stick to our mission to make our focus our people,” said Human Resources Director Melina Bermudez. “This workshop is a great opportunity for anyone looking for additional support in their job search.”
Those interested in attending the free How to Prepare for a Job Workshop on March 25 can register by calling (956) 791-7482 or register online through Eventbrite. In an effort to ensure the workshop is accessible to residents across the city, the workshop will be held at other locations across Laredo on soon-to-be announced dates.
