UISD Student Earns Top Spot in State-Wide Video Contest

(Laredo, Texas)-Trautmann Middle School student Alondra Paez brought pride to her family and campus with her 1st place ranking in the 6th-8th-grade division of the annual Taking Care of Texas (TCOT), Video Contest. The contest had almost 600 middle and high school students submit their video projects for consideration. This year’s challenge was to produce a video that would help fellow Texans learn what they can do to protect our environment. Ms. Paez’ first place prize is a Go Pro Premium package. “Alondra put a lot of work and creativity into her project. I would also like to congratulate her cast members for a job well done”, said Principal Leticia Menchaca.
