Laredo, TX (Webb County) – The Webb County Sheriff’s Office recently located heavy machinery worth more than $100,000 that had been stolen from a local equipment rental company.

After receiving the complaint, investigators got to action and located the machinery at a ranch on north Highway 83, in an area known as La Moca.

The equipment recovered, a 2015 Backhoe, is valued at $75,000, while the other machinery, a 2014 Bobcat, is valued at $35,000.

No arrests have been made, but the investigation continues.

“I’m glad we were able to bring closure to this case and that we were able to return the equipment to its owners,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar. “Losing out on more than $100,000 is not a good feeling. I congratulate my team of investigators for immediately rolling up their sleeves and getting to work to locate the equipment. We are getting the job done.”
