McAllen Public Utility to Conduct Water Meter Audits

Random selection of customers will see inspections
McAllen Public Utility will be conducting water meter auditing starting today, Monday, February 24, 2020. Performance Services Inc. has been contracted to conduct this audit. They will visit sites throughout the city, inspecting water meter installations and possibly, exchanging some meters for newer ones.
For those customers who are selected for the audit, please allow the representatives from Performance Services Inc. a few minutes to temporarily turn the water off to perform the services necessary. Water service will be restored as quickly as possible.
“It is important for us to ensure that our equipment is monitoring accurately and efficiently, which is why this audit is important to conduct,” said Mark Vega, General Manager for McAllen Public Utilities. “We hope this initiative will help our customers know that we are committed to providing them with the best water, best rates and best delivery of water service.”
