Centeno Elementary School Announces NHS Inductees

(Laredo, Texas) Centeno held its annual National Honor Society (NHS), induction ceremony on February 10th. A total of 25 Centeno students were honored. In order to qualify for NHS status, students must attain an overall average of 90, and exhibit the characteristics of leadership, service, and most importantly- good character. County Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez was on hand at the ceremony to congratulate the students and deliver a speech that focused on aiming high and being open to new challenges in school and life.
