United Middle School Library Club Donates Books to Sacred Heart Children’s Home

(Laredo, Texas)-The United Middle School (UMS), Library Club organized a book drive for the Sacred Heart Children’s Home. The month long campaign yielded donations of over 600 books from students and UMS families. Sister Rocio Flores, accompanied by students from the home, visited the UMS library to accept the books and participate in story time and a holiday themed party.
Principal Rosana Arizola narrated The Night Before Christmas for library club members and special guests.
“Our students love to read, and want all students to have access to different kinds of books. This is our 8th book drive and we are planning more”, said librarian Selika Salinas.
