(Laredo, Texas)- United I.S.D. Federal Programs recently hosted its monthly United Council of Parents (U.C.O.P.), meeting at the District’s Student Activity Complex. United ISD Federal Programs Executive Director Rebecca Morales began the program with a summary of topics that were to be covered.
The agenda included discussions about the recent Texas Education Agency (T.E.A.), ratings for United ISD, the 2020 Census, and parent engagement initiatives. U.C.O.P. meetings are held monthly during the school year, and topics of discussion are designed to increase parental involvement with children at home and at school.
Parents are encouraged to attend the complimentary monthly meetings. United ISD now offers complimentary transportation to the meetings (upon request), for United ISD parents. For inquiries about next month’s U.C.O.P. meeting and related transportation services, please call 473-6259.
