Washington, D.C.– Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) received the Distinguished Service Award by US-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership for his work assisting communities along the U.S.-Mexico border in Congress.

“While rich in economic and cultural diversity, the vast border region between the United States and Mexico requires unique policies to address its needs and create opportunities,” said Congressman Cuellar. “That’s why I have worked hard to advocate and legislate for the border region, whether it is working to improve the lives of people living in the colonias, reimbursing local entities for providing humanitarian aid to migrants, or ensuring all individuals are counted in the U.S. Census. As a member of Congress, I will continue to actively work to build prosperity and improve quality of life along the border.”

“I want to thank U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership, including Chairman Enrique Díaz Rivera Robinson Bours and Director of Government & Public Affairs Louis R. Escareño, for this award and their work in supporting our border communities.”
