McAllen Parks & Recreation Upgrading Online Registration System

Upgrade of the online registration system to provide enhanced features
(Laredo, Texas) Participants wishing to enroll children in the various fall recreation programs offered by the City of McAllen are asked to do so in person at the three community centers as technical upgrades to the online registration system are being finalized today, Monday, August 12, 2019 through tomorrow, Tuesday, August 13, 2019. Online registration will be available on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
“We apologize for any inconvenience that this will cause participants, but we anticipate that this new upgraded system will serve to enhance the registration and user experience,” said Mike Hernandez, Director, City of McAllen Parks & Recreation Department. “However, since our fall registration did open last Friday, our community center staff is ready to process registrations in person through Wednesday morning when the new system should be available online.”
Parents will need to bring a proof of address in order to register their children. Various programs have different fee structures; cash, credit cards, and checks are accepted on site.
Additionally, the online upgrade will also affect anyone wishing to reserve a park facility online during this time frame. For park rentals, please e-mail pardmarketing@mcallen.net and be sure to include the desired facility, date and time, as well as name and phone number.
