Courtesy Rafael Benavides,LAREDO, Texas — Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz issued the following statement after today’s shooting in the border city of El Paso, Texas:
“Laredo joins the countless cities across our state today in expressing our deepest sympathies, support and prayers to the families of the victims of today’s senseless attack in El Paso. Our border communities are unique in nature yet are very much an integral part of our State and nation. We stand in solidarity with the City of El Paso and our governor to ensure that justice is served and that appropriate measures are taken to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again.”
