LAREDO, TEXAS – During a busy night, U.S. Border Patrol agents stationed at the Hebbronville Station apprehended 12 illegal aliens, seized a pick-up truck and recovered a stolen vehicle near Hebbronville, Texas in two separate incidents.

The first event occurred late on July 29, when agents from the Hebbronville Station responded to a report of an alien smuggling attempt on State Highway 359.  Agents apprehended six individuals attempting to circumvent the Hebbronville Border Patrol Checkpoint in a Ford F-250.  U.S. Border Patrol seized the vehicle and processed the illegal aliens who were determined to be from the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico.

The second event occurred in the early morning hours of July 30, when agents responded to an alien smuggling attempt south of Hebbronville, Texas.  Agents noticed a ranch gate damaged as if a vehicle had driven through it.  Agents followed the vehicle tracks and found the vehicle abandoned with foot sign leading away from the vehicle into the brush.  Agents followed the foot sign and apprehended six illegal aliens.  The individuals were determined to be in the country illegally and nationals from the countries of Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico.  The individuals were processed accordingly.  Record checks revealed the vehicle was reported stolen and subsequently turned over to Jim Hogg County Sheriff’s Office.
