LAREDO, Texas—On Saturday, July 20, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., join in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of mankind on the moon at the Joe A. Guerra Laredo Public Library located at 1120 E. Calton Rd. Visit Moon Base Laredo, have your photograph taken on the Moon, take a Virtual Reality spacewalk, and send your name to Mars onboard the next NASA Mars Rover. Enjoy out-of-this-world games, crafts and activities for young and old. Free Space corn and Moon juice will be served in the Lunar Café.
From 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., weather permitting, view the rings of Saturn and other amazing sights in the night sky outside the library. Use the library’s telescopes, or feel free to bring your own.
