EDINBURG, TX- The six men comprising Styx have committed to rocking the Paradise together with audiences far and wide by entering their second decade of averaging over 100 shows a year, and each one of them is committed to making the next show better than the last. On December 12 this legendary band will ignite the stage at Bert Ogden Arena as it draws from over four decades of barn burning chart hits, joyous singalongs, and hard-driving deep cuts. “Every night, we go on that magic carpet ride together,” observes original bassist Chuck Panozzo, who joins the band on tour as often as he can.
“The thing I always like the most is the immediate response we get when playing live,” notes JY Young, an integral force of nature in the band since its 1972 inception and the one who helped steer the band to landing its first recording contract with Wooden Nickel Records. The band will make its RGV debut on December 12 in one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to be a part of something unique and special that’s happening in real time right in front of you.
