UISD Federal Program Hosts McKinney Vento Summer Survival Kit Giveaway

(Laredo, Texas)-United ISD Federal Programs hosted their annual McKinney Vento Summer Survival Kit Giveaway for underprivileged UISD student families. The distributed kits included an assortment of toiletries, apparel, detergent, various kitchen tools, blankets, and fans.
The kits help ease some of the financial burdens on families during the summer months. United ISD’s McKinney Vento Program presently has 263 students and a total of 137 families.
The program is aimed at helping students who are deemed homeless or those who move from home to home.
