City Officials Visit Sister City of Guadalupe, Nuevo León

LAREDO, Texas— Mayor Pete Saenz, Co-Interim City Manager Rosario Cabello and other city officials traveled to Mexico to meet with government officials in Laredo’s sister city of Guadalupe, Nuevo León, on Thursday.
The two cities reaffirmed their commitment to binational relations including culture, tourism, economic development and education.
The delegation from Guadalupe is in Laredo today to visit with local higher education institutions, economic development centers and to learn how they can implement city initiatives and incentives within their own local government in Nuevo León.
Guadalupe Mayor Cristina Díaz Salazar and other elected officials from Guadalupe and the City of Laredo will sign a reaffirmation of sister cities agreement today, Friday, June 14 at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers.
