GEO Group Awards $25,000.00 In Scholarships to College-Bound Students

(Laredo, Texas)-Students from UISD, LISD, St. Augustine High School and the Webb Consolidated School District were presented with Scholarship Letters of Commitment from the GEO Group during a ceremony in the Webb County Commissioner’s Courtroom. Members of the Webb County Commissioners Court joined GEO Group Warden Javier Aleman to present 25 scholarships totaling $25,000.
This is the thirteenth year that the GEO Group awards scholarships to help students pursue their college education. “We are very thankful to the Geo Group for extending their commitment over the years to help our students,” said UISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos .
