Rotary Club of Laredo Daybreak Presents Newman Elementary with 220 e-Books.

(Laredo, Texas)-The Rotary Club of Laredo Daybreak donated a check that will benefit Newman Elementary School. The proceeds will be utilized to purchase 220 e-books for students in grades pre-k to 5th grade. Rotary Club Daybreak President Mario Guzman, Jr. is a former student of Newman Elementary.
“When I was asked to choose a campus for the donation, the answer was easy since I attended Newman Elementary as a child. I had great experiences there and it is where I developed a love for sports, especially basketball”, said Guzman. “ Access to the selection of e-books will be unlimited for years to come, and our club members have expressed an interest in returning to Newman to read some of these books to the students”, he concluded.
