Reading is a “Slam Dunk” at Washington Middle School

(Laredo, Texas)-Students from Washington Middle School ended the week on a fantastic note. “Complete Reading Challenge #3 AND #4 and you win a chance to dunk me into a pool of water,” was all their principal needed to say for students to get right to work to guarantee them a shot at dunking their principal into a pool of cold water.
Students who completed the challenge read over 500 pages from a variety of books. Each class that completed the challenge selected two students to take part in trying to dunk their principal. Students who participated in the challenge enjoyed watching their fellow classmates try to dunk their principal in the dunking booth.
