Commission meeting recap video will help create more awareness of City business
(McAllen, TX) The City of McAllen Office of Communications has launched “McAllen Minutes,” a brief City Commission recap video, highlighting different actions taken at the City Commission meeting. The three to four minute video will focus on recognitions and proclamations and other City business that has a direct impact on citizens. The video will run on the McAllen Cable News Channel for Spectrum subscribers only on Ch. 17-2 as well as be available on social media on the City of McAllen’s official Facebook page and You Tube channel.
“Sometimes, citizens are busy with what is going on with their personal lives and may miss traditional news coverage of the McAllen City Commission meetings,” said McAllen City Manager Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E. “This additional news piece will not only keep citizens and others informed, but also, add another layer of transparency to the activities of the City of McAllen.”
