(Laredo, Texas)-The citizens of Kazenopolis, a minitropolis® at Kazen Elementary, celebrated their grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on November 8, 2016. The event featured new student “employees” along with several invited community partners.
“IBC Bank believes financial literacy should be a key component in the education of our children receive and is proud to play a key role in the success of Kazenopolis,” said IBC Bank representatives.
In addition to a IBC Bank, Kazenopolis also features a Mayor and City Council, Border Patrol Station, post office, grocery store, recycling center and other businesses that are run by students.
“It is exciting when we have Kazenopolis at our campus. Our students just love it!” said Kazen Elementary School Principal Maria H. Arambula-Ruiz. “We would like to thank IBC Bank for sponsoring this great program.”
First launched in September 2011, IBC Bank worked with school officials to develop the concept for Kazenopolis.
